Elise Clements is a realist figurative painter based in South Australia.

Elise Clements is a South Australian realist painter whose practice explores the complex intersection of healing, adversity and the human condition. Working primarily in figurative oil painting, Clements creates introspective works that examine states of vulnerability, resilience and psychological transformation.

Her paintings are grounded in a rigorous engagement with traditional representational technique, while employing the figure as a vehicle for exploring experiences that are often internal and difficult to articulate. Through considered composition, restrained symbolism and a sensitive treatment of the human form, Clements invites contemplation of the spaces between fragility and strength.

Clements has devoted herself to refining her technical practice through study at the Adelaide Central School of Art, complemented by further development through a residency at the New York Academy of Art. Her evolving practice brings together classical methods of figurative painting with a contemporary interest in the emotional and psychological narratives that shape human experience.
