In a moment of overwhelming loss I find my voice silenced by the intensity of emotion. When words fail me I instead turn to paint. This self portrait captures the solace I’ve found in contemplative moments of grief, where the unbearable weight of sorrow begins to lift and hope emerges. This portrait serves as a reminder to myself that grief is a catalyst for growth and there is beauty to be found in life’s adversities.
